(l/r) Timmy, Terror, Willjious, Lord Byron, and Oaky the band mascot. This shot was taken in the Cavern Tavern, where the infamous medieval video was shot, and also the first gig played as medieval, on Halloween in 1981.

(l/r) Elwood, Willjious, Timmy. Promotional shot for New Renaissance Records in 1985.

(l/r) Timmy, Elwood, Willjious. Promotional shot for gig flyers and mailings…never used, but a great day to be outdoors.

(l/r) Timmy, Terror, Lord Byron, Elwood. Setting the camera for the promotional shots for gig flyers and mailings.

Photo by Death (aka Chuck Sterner). medieval Kills! Album cover. (l/r) Elwood, Willjious, Timmy. That's actually a castle in the background that was taken apart piece by piece and shipped to Kalamazoo. The cemetery is across the street - it's great for a fright.

(l/r) The Incredible Human Sponge, Your fairy god uncle Lou. Don't ask.

(l/r) Elwood, Timmy, (Willjious in the back someplace). Shot during a Western Michigan University gig in the mid 80's. This is during the song Lords of Darkness (Timmy's favorite shot).

(l/r) Timmy, Willjious, Elwood, Lord Byron, Terror, Stokes, Boyd "Spike" Shannon. This was shot by Bob Chasseur of Sledgehammer Press during a road trip to visit Bob over a weekend. It was an incredible party with a great time had by all. Many thanks to Bob and crew for the invitation, and the gracious hospitality.

Elwood and friend. This shot was included on the inside picture/lyric page of the medieval Kills! album.

(l/r) Timmy, Willjious, Elwood. A typical spring day in Michigan.

Terror Amsbuist, doing an Irish jig. Shot during the set up for promotional shots. This was the first time River Dance was performed in Kalamazoo.

(l/r) Elwood, Timmy, Willjious. All Timmy wanted was a cup of coffee - thankfully he had friends there to offer assistance with the vending machine.

(l/r) Elwood, Willjious, Timmy. One of the better, or at least one of the "more usable", promotional shots that turned out during shooting that day.

(l/r) (Elwood at far edge), Willjious, Timmy. Live shot at another Western Michigan University show. This was from the same gig that is displayed on the back of the medieval Kills! Album.

(l/r) Elwood, Timmy. Here's a shot of a gig at Western Michigan University. This shot was used on the back cover of the medieval Kills! album, after it was altered by some funky photographic technique. As can be seen, most medieval songs are a pleasure to hear, but painful to play!

Timmy Amsbuist. This was taken during a show at the Allegan County Fair in the early 80's. Nice expression on Timmy's face… reminiscent of a classic Mick Jagger pose!

(l/r) Elwood, Timmy. Same gig at Western Michigan University as the live shot on the back of the medieval Kills! album, but a different song. Timmy is still checking to see if his shoes are untied…

(l/r) Elwood, Timmy. Same gig at Western Michigan University as the live shot on the back of the medieval Kills! album, but a different song. Timmy is obviously pleased with the note he's playing!

(l/r) Elwood, Timmy. From the same gig at Western Michigan University as the picture taken during the song "Lords of Darkness", but this is a different song (Timmy says he can tell it's different because "Lords" was in the key of "E" and he is playing a lead in "A" on the tune in this picture). What ever tune it was, Elwood was always sure to support the local Chiropractic services after a gig!

The past meets the present, as Stokes, Terror and Elwood pose with the lovely Babs who arranged the whole party for Timmy!

This was a real treat, as Travis, a long time fan and friend filled in for Elwood on bass, and Spike sang the lyrics he wrote for the song Medieval.  Make sure to check out Travis’s band Suburban Funeral in the links section!

It’s always difficult to get good shots of drummers with all their equipment always in the way…of course we made it even more difficult by boxing in Willjious’ drums for recording a better mix!

Yes, he’s back there somewhere!

Elwood was a surprise visitor to the party, as he came across 6 states to attend at the last minute – so he was not prepared to play that night…but he had a great time listening to his old tunes with the original “Ams” Scott Amsbury!

One of the true blessings in Timmy’s life has been a great bunch of friends he can play music with…Fauxpas, Timmy’s drinking band played a killer set of tunes that rocked!

More Fauxpas – the second heaviest band in the world!

A good shot of Bri Bri Fauxpas bass player (who by the way is Medieval’s assistant manager and website developer…now you know who to blame!).

Couldn’t resist one with a smile and a lead!

Give Spike a break, he wrote the lyrics 25 years ago…he needed a bit of help!  Also a good shot of Travis!

Definitely a treat to let Spike sing and be able to concentrate on the guitar for a tune or two…for old codgers, we can still rock!

A helluva rhythm section relaxing and having fun at the “cabana.”

It was the perfect party – as all the old friends were there continuing the best times…

Timmy gave a toast thanking everyone for helping celebrate his 40th in style with a touch of Sammy’s Cabo Wabo tequila.

Although not a connoisseur, Timmy truly loves tequila, and the Cabo was smooth…take a look at everyone else’s expression though!  Willjious (red shirt) obviously enjoyed his belt!

Current promotional photo, which will be in Slayer Magazine in Europe... taken at the "Dry Fly Bar."

Photo from the same shoot as the current promotional picture.
