10/15/08 -- medieval will be performing live for the first time in almost 20 years at Kalamazoo Metal Fest III. The show takes place on Saturday, November 8th in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This night will feature eleven other bands and runs from 2pm to 2am! Contact us if you need tickets ($10 prior to show, $12 day of show).

12/9/05 -- First off, my apologies for taking so long to update the site. As much as I would love to say it was due to our touring, I will go one better and say it is due to our recent studio time, including polishing up some new material!

But let me start at the beginning…if you are at the site as of today’s date, you are either a wandering internet freak who stumbled upon our site, or a metal fanatic who has been searching for information on the band – because we have not promoted the site yet to anyone.

Our original goal was to document the bands history. As Willjious and I began going over details and developing the site, it was inevitable that some instruments got picked up, and the noise started again. At that point, it was evident that we were definitely not done as a band!

We’ve got a lot of ideas of what we want to do going forward. But we decided it was not fair to the fans for us to put up a site, promote it, promise the world and then take forever to deliver. We wanted “deliverables” for you to have before you found out we were back in action, something tangible you could throw in your car CD player or wear on your back. We’ve gotten a few things done, but time is much too short in supply to get it all done overnight!

Here’s what we have so far:

A killer website with a load of history, pics, and music
T-shirts of the classic Medieval warrior are now available

What we have planned:

Re-mastered demo's of the “Cassette Album” and “All Knobs to the Right” (the tapes are currently at the studio being re-mastered to remove hiss, etc. and we need to develop the packaging as well). But we hope to have all this done by the end of the year.
New Release! You heard right – and so far the basic tracks absolutely ROCK! Here is the skinny: we would love to re-release the original two albums from the ‘80’s from New Renaissance Records; but we don’t have the rights to those recordings of our songs…but we own the songs themselves, so we can record them again all we want! So we are putting together a release that contains about 8 old tunes, and about 4 or 5 new tunes. We have a lot recorded already, and we are hopeful that the studio time will be done in the next few months. Then we will hit the streets to find a label to distribute the result. If we can’t find one, we’ll make it available right here for anyone who wants one.

So there’s the 9 month update! Again, I’m sorry it has taken so long.

We’ve gotten a lot of great emails from all over the world, from many who remember us from back in the day, and from those who are new to knowing the band. And I’ve got to say it’s great to hear from each and everyone! Please keep the e-mails coming – I try to answer at least once per week.

1/21/05 -- Greetings! I hope everyone has had a great New Year so far. There has been plenty happening in the Medieval camp lately…a new interview on the way with Slayer Magazine in Europe, a couple of new promo pictures, a new P.O. Box, the recording process has begun on our next release, and finally the t-shirts are available for purchase!

9/20/04 -- Greetings everyone – I’m so sorry it has taken so long to get the website updated, but we’ve been extremely busy writing some new tunes, and preparing for the gig of a lifetime…my 40^th b-day party! Keep a close watch out in the near future on the website – we should have CD versions of the two demo tapes from the early 80’s, as well as some streams from the two albums. Look for the availability of t-shirts from the old days – and as we are still trying to decide whether to shop the new material around to some companies, or publish by ourselves, keep an eye open for our new material to materialize in one form or another.

We’ve got some pictures from the birthday bash we’ll be posting on the site, and we’re working on getting some new promotional materials put together, which we’ll make sure you get to see first.

When we get this whole deal put together (which will be soon!), watch for our little media blitz to metal mags and metal radio around the US…and we would appreciate all the support you can muster from your local media, as well as passing the word on to your friends across the globe! Medieval fans have always been in a class all their own, and we have always appreciated your tremendous support…good music begets great fans, and we have always had the best fans!
